We recently conducted pod counts on random samples of both our AMS treated soybeans and our untreated soybeans, finding that the AMS treated soybeans developed more pods per plant. We found that the plants that were top-dressed with 110 pounds of AMS in June saw an average of 50 pods per plant, while the untreated soybeans saw an average of 40 pods per plant. We are pleased to see healthy clusters of pods filling ahead of dry down.
The AMS treated plants (below left) appear to have thicker, more robust root mass.
The larger root mass and the significant increase in pods per plant in our AMS treated soybeans are encouraging signs that the AMS treatment has positioned our treated beans for maximum yield. Come back soon to see our harvest results!
