Position Summary: This position is responsible for performing all aspects of safely manufacturing liquid bulk chemical products. This position works a 4-week cycle where each team works 4 consecutive night shifts, followed by 3 days off duty, works 3 consecutive day shifts, followed by 1 day off duty, works 3 consecutive night shifts, followed by 3 days off duty, work 4 consecutive day shift, then have 7 consecutive days off duty. The job requires the individual to work in adverse weather conditions (cold, hot, humid, rain, snow, etc.). 

 

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform standard work and follow standard operating procedures to ensure unit safety, quality, and production goals are met
  • Responsible to take and interpret readings on various equipment, assessing any variation, standard troubleshooting, and taking action to address and return process to standard
  • Maintain proper housekeeping and clean work environment for areas of responsibility
  • Responsible for the safe and proper management and handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with plant requirements

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, refinery operations, or other similar industrial/manufacturing plant experience

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to work on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule that includes overnight and weekends
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to perform some physical labor associated with jobs
  • Possess a strong work ethic and initiative to learn processes
  • Ability to work at elevated heights – greater than 50 feet
  • Comfortable entering and working in confined spaces
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver a safe workspace based on following standard work
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and take corrective action within an industrial setting
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate through multiple layers of an organization
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and successfully complete tasks of progressive responsibility and complexity
  • Ability to demonstrate basic computer skills
