Position Summary: The Materials-Finite Scheduler/Planner works with the Master Schedulers, Plant Operations, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure the detailed plan is supporting the SIOP (Sales Inventory and Operations Planning). This position is responsible for all activities involving shipping/receiving of raw materials and finished goods, inventory control, and production planning for the Site and the supporting storage terminals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure production and shipping schedule can support weekly demand in order to meet internal and external demand at the plant and storage terminals
  • Manage internal demand of chemicals to locations and the external demand of customer sales including orders out of the plant and/or at storage terminals
  • Develop and communicate the micro/finite production and shipping schedule for current month
  • Resolve SAP issues/errors and drive real-time inventory through corrective action plans
  • Support SAP master data site owner (Master Scheduler), assisting in issues and signing off on any enhancements or changes that would impact the business
  •  Work closely with Master Scheduler on deviations/variations to the SIOP and escalate deviations to SIOP appropriately
  •  Provide input to the weekly PSI report
  •  Work cross-functionally with Operations, Customer Service, Sales/Commercial, and Master Scheduler to adhere to the plan
  • Develop and communicate demand outlook and ensure production and shipping schedule can support weekly and monthly demand
  • Responsible for raw material and finished goods inventories at the Plant and terminals; perform weekly book v. physical reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies
  •  Review terminal invoices for accuracy and PO (Purchase Order) processing in SAP
  • Maintain and review SAP data and clear old STOs (Straight to Source orders) that were canceled and/or charged
  • Communicate loading activity for marine activity via load/discharge marine authorization, giving direction to the plan and third-party terminals on material movements
  • Responsible for all terminal activity/duties, including loading/unloading barge/vessel movements for materials and tracking and reporting metrics
  • Perform operating system activities and support, identifying areas for continuous improvement on delivery times, cost, and quality of materials from vendors

Basic Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in related field
  •  3+ years of experience in supply chain, scheduling/logistics, or customer service
  •  2+ years of experience with SAP

Additional Qualifications:

  •  Knowledge of chemical and/or refining industry
  •  Advanced SAP (ECC) knowledge in OM, MM a plus
  •  Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of metrics including IRA, OTTR, SOTTR, RTDE
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to be self-directed in managing multiple priorities
